在过去的十年间， Ulla 徒步探索世界各地活火山的内部，她的冒险足迹踏遍刚果、智利、瓦努阿图等，拍摄充满火热橙色熔岩的影像。Ulla 接受英国广播公司（BBC）访问表示，在一座活火山内进行 600 米的探索，犹如进入地球的中心，身旁是 1,200 度熔岩，自身感觉非常渺小，望向天空则觉得非常高。

她又指，感觉火山真的活着，其发出的“咆哮声音”好像煲滚的水一样，但声音要大 100 倍，感觉令人兴奋，同时令自己非常谦卑。
