美国体操天后比妮丝（Simone Biles）接受《时尚》（Vogue）杂志访问，并登上 8 月号的封面，叫粉丝雀跃不已。封面相片由著名摄影师安妮莱博维茨（Annie Leibovitz）掌镜，但大量网民却认为照片拍摄质素差劣，引来连串批评的声音！

莱博维茨替比妮丝拍摄了一系列的照片，其中两张被拣选出来，成为纸本杂志及数码版的封面照。网民批评这两张照片“光线很差”、“摄影师不懂打灯”，皮肤甚至呈现“褪色”的感觉。此外，杂志又在 Instagram 上张贴第三张照片。网民的评语也以负面居多，例如：令比妮丝显得忧伤和不耐烦。网民指责《时尚》杂志说，应该聘请一位了解如何拍摄深色肤色的黑人摄影师，日后亦应该多聘用黑人摄影师和模特儿。

事实上，网上亦有支持安妮的声音。支持者的理据主要围绕比妮丝的受访内容，包括：奥运体操队队医 Larry Nasser 性侵案（她是指控者之一）及种族主义等，都是一些沉重与阴暗的话题，所以照片刻意塑造阴沉和平淡的颜色与色调，呼应主题。
