奇妙巧合！太阳影片惊见鬼客机？

天文摄影师 Andrew McCarthy 最近在拍摄太阳时，上帝给他的照片加上一记神来之笔！一架民航客机意外闯入他的构图内，但效果却是意想不到的好，他还给作品名命为〈民航客机〉（A Civilian Transit）。

在 1 月 17 日下午，McCarthy 在美国加州北部拍摄太阳时，发生了一件令人高兴的小意外：一架客机在太阳“前面”飞过。他说：“完全没有计划，一切都是巧合，但它确为影像添加了一些独特的美。”更好彩的是，他当时还拍到一段短片：
I was shooting the sun in hydrogen-alpha light, so as the plane passed you could see the contrails scatter the light from the sun, while the plane was invisible unless covering the disc. 大家有否留意到，客机的剪影只在太阳作为背景的前提下才出现？原来 McCarthy 当时使用的相机只感应氢-α（Ｈ-α）光线。它是一种呈深红色的可见光，但普通相机的感光元件都会将它过滤，让其他颜色的可见光更加突出。当客机飞越太阳时，由于来自太阳的氢-α（Ｈ-α）光线被遮挡，因此感光元件只能记录一个黑影。
此外，飞机在进入及离开太阳边界时，其气流散射了太阳的氢-α 光线，产生了一种像“溅起水花”的效果，非常有趣且难得一见。顺带一提，McCarthy 事后利用 Flightradar24 网站，凭著时间和地点，查出当时的客机隶属联合航空，正从旧金山飞往新泽西州纽瓦克（Newark）。
