去年8月底确认因计划让游戏更为完善，使得正式上市时间大幅延后的《Gran Turismo Sport》，目前确认将在10月17日正式推出，并且将同步在台推出中英文合版，以及限定版、限量典藏版等版本。
以真实驾车模拟器自居，同时标榜可在游戏中考取FIA (Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile)认可赛车执照的《Gran Turismo Sport》，同样样由系列作品制作人山内一典操刀，同时收录总计140台世界上最快、最受推崇的车辆，其中包含Vision Gran Turismo概念车、Gran Turismo Sport独家原型车，以及存在于真实世界的顶尖车辆，另外也收录涵盖19个地点，以及27种配置的世界著名赛道，例如东京快速道路、纽堡林赛道 (北环道)或北方群岛赛道等。
此次确认将在10月17日正式推出，同时也将在台推出中英文合版，并且区分一般版、限定版、限量典藏版三种版本，建议售价分别为新台币1690元、1790元与3090元。其中，一般版或限定版都将获得初回特典DLC─集结3辆可在游戏内使用的车辆的“抢先3辆车套件包”，但限定版将额外收录铁盒、可鉴赏车辆相片的画集、集结8辆可在游戏内使用车辆的车辆包等DLC，而典藏版除包含限定版所有内容，更收录了特制车辆模型。
至于预计在PlayStation Store提供的数位版《Gran Turismo Sport》，则将收录与实体光碟限定版相同DLC内容，建议售价同样为为1790元。
根据系列作品制作人山内一典说明，在结束Beta封测之后，预计在游戏实际上市销售前将持续公布《Gran Turismo Sport》相关内容，诸如竞赛模式、创意工具，以及预计在上市当天可供游玩的收录车辆与赛道细节，另外更强调本作收录车辆将以全新图像、真实音效及高度物理模拟形式呈现赛车体验。
